The Disappointed’s newest single I Disagree With Myself has been on Triple J’s rotation since December and was launched to a packed Amplifier Bar in January. Infectious, warm, upbeat and anthemic, I Disagree With Myself touches on everything. Produced by Dave Parkin (Emperors, Jebediah), the single is a preview of the band's upcoming second EP, due to drop in Autumn.
Since releasing their debut EP Stranger to rave reviews and national airplay in 2013, Perth five piece The Disappointed have toured nationally and played the cream of WA's showcases including RTR's Radiothon, the WAM Saturday Spectacular and the Beaufort St. Festival. It's New Wave Alt-Rock boasting twin guitars, keys and four part harmonies. With intelligence and honesty, hooks and riffs, tight arrangements and so much weird wired energy, The Disappointed will get under your skin and into your bones.

EP of the Week, The Music
“Each ditty is a neurotransmitter activating the nerve impulses of listeners to bop to dark pop. Boasting rapid keys, electrifying guitar hooks and an unshakeable beat, these lads are onto gold. With an alternative rock edge, lead vocalist Michael Strong coarsely swoons his way into the hearts of his fans, singing about how life isn’t always cut and dried, clear and simple, nor up and down. [T]he band runs a tight ship, locking into each other like a deadbolt on a door: firm and solid.”
